Why We Built RemNeuro?
Senior care is facing a growing challenge. Care providers are being asked to do more with less, balancing staffing shortages, increasing resident needs, and rising expectations from families. In the middle of this complexity, some of the most important indicators of a resident's well-being, such as changes in sleep, activity, engagement, or socialization, can be difficult to recognize before they become larger concerns.
At RemNeuro, we believe technology can help bridge that gap.
Founded in August 2024 by Nikolay Lukyanchikov, MS, MD, PhD, RemNeuro was created with a simple but ambitious goal: to transform everyday health data into meaningful care intelligence that supports both care teams and families.
The company's roots, however, extend beyond senior care. RemNeuro originally began as a neurological technology venture focused on developing an automated, highly standardized neurological examination system for hospitals and clinical settings. Designed to improve consistency and objectivity in neurological assessments, the technology led to the development of patented innovations and established the scientific foundation that continues to drive the company's approach to healthcare intelligence today. This experience in translating complex clinical data into actionable insights ultimately inspired RemNeuro's expansion into senior care, where early detection and proactive intervention can have a profound impact on quality of life.
Rather than adding another device or creating additional work for staff, RemNeuro connects with wearable technologies that many people already use and converts their data into clear, actionable insights.
The idea behind the platform emerged from a simple observation. Wearables continuously collect data about activity, sleep, heart rate, and other health indicators, yet much of that data remains isolated from the care process. Families, meanwhile, receive only occasional updates and can feel disconnected from their loved one's daily experience.
RemNeuro was built to change that.
The platform continuously collects passive signals from connected wearables and analyzes them over time to identify meaningful patterns and changes. Instead of overwhelming caregivers with raw numbers, the system translates those signals into practical insights that can help care teams recognize emerging concerns earlier and prioritize attention where it is needed most. At the same time, families gain greater visibility through clear reporting and ongoing access to information about their loved one's well-being.
What makes this approach especially important is that many significant changes occur gradually. A resident may become slightly less active, sleep less consistently, or engage less frequently with others over several weeks. These changes may seem minor in isolation, but together they can provide valuable clues about overall health and well-being. By identifying trends early, care providers can move from a reactive model of care toward a more proactive one.
One of RemNeuro's most distinctive innovations is its patented pending socialization engagement analytics technology. Social connection plays a critical role in healthy aging, yet it is one of the most difficult aspects of well-being to measure objectively. Research has consistently linked social isolation to increased risks of depression, cognitive decline, and poorer health outcomes. RemNeuro's patented technology is designed to quantify engagement patterns and help identify isolation risks before they become more serious challenges.
Beyond care intelligence, communication remains a central part of the company's mission. Families place enormous trust in care providers, and maintaining that trust requires clear communication. By providing understandable updates and visibility into daily well-being, RemNeuro helps strengthen the connection between facilities and families while reducing uncertainty about what is happening between visits and phone calls.
As RemNeuro continues to grow, our focus remains unchanged: helping care teams identify meaningful changes earlier, supporting stronger communication with families, and creating a more proactive approach to senior care. We believe that when health data becomes understandable and actionable, everyone benefits.
This is only the beginning of our journey, and we are excited to continue building the future of care intelligence together.
